Meet Dr. Minniti
One of my inspirations for becoming a surgeon was the fictional character “Hawkeye” played by Alan Alda on the hit television show *MASH*. Beneath his lighthearted affable exterior was a most compassionate and competent doctor devoted to his work.
This way of making my patients feel comfortable and confident in thier time of need, is something I strive for on both a professional and personal level.
Education
Prior to medical school, I conducted research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. There I was exposed to plastic surgeons rebuilding the bodies of people who had undergone the sometimes mutilating surgeries to cure them. I graduated at the top of my class from New York Medical College with multiple honors, including my induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
After completing my internship at USC in General Surgery, I finished my General Surgery residency training at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. I subsequently completed my Plastic Surgery residency there as well, and completed an aesthetic surgery fellowship with Baker, Stuzin, and Baker in Miami. I came back to Brown University in my final year as an Instructor in Surgery (Plastic).
